40-acre lake in QEII Country Park, Ashington, run by Wansbeck and Cramlington Angling Club. Big carp up to 30lb plus , bream, pike, roach, rudd, tench and perch in an urban country-park setting. Shares the water with watersports users — pick a quiet bank away from sailing activity.

Summer silvers respond to waggler and maggot away from weed. Bream often come from the pit end on feeder at distance with corn or double caster. Pike from reeds near the museum-end jetty on dead bait or lures.
