Overview

Two well-stocked stillwaters on the northern edge of Newcastle, managed by the Tyne Anglers Alliance. The large lake in particular has strong natural recruitment of roach alongside carp, bream, tench, perch, crucians, rudd and pike. Wheelchair access runs along the full southern bank of the larger lake.

Official guide

Feeder and waggler with maggot and pellet work well for silvers. Pike fishing requires wire traces, unhooking mat and minimum 40" landing net. No coarse dead baits for pike.
